Secondo il presidente Arno Kompatscher, l’ulteriore sviluppo dell’Autonomia e il nuovo accordo finanziario con lo Stato costituiscono la base più importante per l’operato politico dei prossimi anni. Durante la conferenza stampa di metà mandato #primotempo, tenutasi il 5 agosto, Kompatscher ha presentato entrambe le riforme come presupposto affinché l’Alto Adige possa agire in modo autonomo in futuro.
